Upper right implants with sinus lift and bone graft placed on 1/10/2015
The best option for replacing missing teeth are dental implants. Even when a bridge is doable, it should be avoided for the following reasons:
1-Traditional bridges and partial dentures will damage the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth because they have to be shaved down to create room for bridge abutments. You want to replace your missing tooth but you end up losing more teeth in a few years.
2-The average time a bridge lasts is five years whereas dental implants can stay your lifetime.
3- Dental implant preserves bone. If there is not a tooth or an implant in the bone, it resorbs over time and affects the function and appearance of your teeth.
